Snails hiding from the sun. I presume the y move round as the sum moves.

what a strange sight - you would think they wanted to be picked off by any passing Thrush!
Lilith: It was strange. I wondered if they were attracted to the yellow, but can snails see in colour I wonder? Safety in numbers I suppose.
